Theoretical aspects of enterprise competitiveness formation

National University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic”

Abstract

Given the difficult conditions in which our country found itself, it is now necessary to take care of the restoration of its economy. Remember that in conditions of unstable development of the world economy, there is a need to form the competitiveness of domestic enterprises. In order to adapt well to modern market conditions, the enterprise must have clear goals, a vision of the future, its mission, values that correspond to the interests of consumers, and strategic principles developed on their basis. The challenges faced by domestic enterprises are quite different. Before the war, the main problems in the competitive struggle of large enterprises were integration into new markets, export barriers, gaining access to foreign capital markets, the judicial system and inadequate protection of property rights. For small and medium-sized enterprises, the main challenges were the judicial system and weak protection of property rights, petty corruption in various controlling state bodies (often local authorities, although it can also be central), complex tax administration, high tax burden and lack of available financing. All these mentioned components are prerequisites for inhibiting the competitiveness of Ukrainian enterprises and the economy as a whole. The state traditionally focuses on the problems of large companies, while small and mediumsized enterprises often lack the resources to independently solve problems in a competitive market. However, there is a strong feeling that the development of the economy largely depends on the development of small and medium-sized businesses, on increasing the level of competitiveness of enterprises. The external environment undergoes a natural evolution, which increases the instability of economic development: renewal of products, changes in consumer demand and requests, business activity, strengthening or weakening of the positions of competitors, etc. Therefore, at each stage of the enterprise's life cycle, there is a natural evolution of the enterprise's competitiveness
